About us
6OVER3 INSTITUTE was founded on 9 June 2025 by Andrew Sampson. We started because the dominant version of AI is being built on a bargain most people would not take if they understood it. Your private writing, your photographs, your work, your voice — all of it gets routed through someone else’s data center, indexed by someone else’s models, retained on someone else’s terms. The companies selling the bargain rarely admit it exists.
We build the alternative. Our mission is to augment humanity.
How we work
Privacy, latency, and security come first. If a feature can only exist by uploading the user’s life to a server, we don’t ship it. The usual tradeoff between speed and privacy exists because most AI gets its speed from sending data to cloud servers. We build every layer ourselves, which is why our products can be fast and private at the same time.
The visual language of AI has flattened to a single shape, and we work outside it. Visual storytelling is the oldest form of communication, and films, photography, and design get the same care as the engineering.
